    Come collect CE's and enjoy happy hour with SMUMN Nurse Anesthesia!  Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served while you browse DNP project posters. We will also have several vendors present to learn about potential career opportunities. We can't wait to see you there!

    Who should attend: CRNAs, SRNAs, and anesthesia hopeful RNs (eligible for 2 Continuing Education Credits).

    All attendees must be above the age of 18.  Must be 21+ for alcoholic beverages.

    Heavy apps and drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) will be provided.

    Cost:

    • $50 for CRNAs and RNs seeking the 2 CE credits
    • $20 for family and friend
    • Free for SRNAs from all schools and the incoming St Marys CRNA class of 2029

    • What is this event?
      • This event, Sips and CEs, is the open-house style showcase for our nurse anesthesia students to display their doctoral thesis projects for family, friends, and the community. They each conduct research on a specific chosen topic so this is their time to show off their hard work! Additionally, vendors from a variety of hospitals and health centers are present to discuss employment opportunities. Finally, it is a chance for members of the anesthesia and medical community to gather and mingle. 

    • Where can I park?
    • There is a parking lot at 2505 Portland Ave, nearby Saint Mary’s that will be labeled with parking signs, it is at the SouthWest corner of Oakland and 26th. There is street parking available on many streets around the area as well. Finally, the Swedish Institute usually allows overflow parking, check back for more information.
    • What is the dress code?
    • Business casual.
    • How will I receive my 2 CE credits?
    • Program Director Leah Gordon will issue them to you after the event. RNs can also get two CEUs via a certificate on site at the event.

    Please join us for the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Graduate Program in Nurse Anesthesiology Senior Symposium: Sips, Snacks, and CE's

    As a vendor, you will have a table with two chairs to present any materials you wish to share with CRNAs and SRNAs attending the event.

    We will offer Class A Continuing Education Credits (approximately 2 Class A CE's) to any CRNA vendor who completes the required paper evaluation and turns it in.

    There will be over 100 Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists, along with CRNAs from the community, who have been invited to attend the event.

    Complimentary heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be available at the event.

    Vendor FAQ

    • What time can I come and what time do I need to leave by?
    • The event is officially 3-7pm, Friday, May 29th, 2026. You will be able to access the building starting at 2pm and must leave by 8pm. 
    • What is provided?
    • With the vendor ticket, you will receive two tickets for entry and one table inside the venue. Generally, vendors decorate their table, have small give aways, and information to share with CRNAs/SRNAs. There will be complimentary food and drinks for all attendees.
    • Where can I park?
    • There is a parking lot at 2505 Portland Ave, nearby Saint Mary’s that will be labeled with parking signs, it is at the SouthWest corner of Oakland and 26th. There is street parking available on many streets around the area as well. Finally, the Swedish Institute usually allows overflow parking, check back for more information. There is an entrance to the University Center building with an overhang, mid-way between 25th and 26th street on Oakland Ave that can be accessed for loading and unloading if needed, please move your vehicle to the parking lot after use.
    • Are there food and drinks?
    • There will be complimentary appetizers and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available.
