Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee shall:

• Receive proposed amendments and present them to the Board of Directors and to the membership for consideration
• Ensure the AANA Bylaws Committee is provided with a current copy of the MANA Bylaws on an annual basis

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee shall:

• Oversee marketing, communications and public relations activities both within the Association and externally
• Partner with other MANA committees as needed to provide advertising content
• Coordinate annual CRNA week promotions

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum 

The DEI Forum shall: 

• Support and advocate DEI throughout the nurse anesthesiology profession in MN
• Embrace the unique experiences of every CRNA in MN, creating an association that is best positioned to support its members

Government Relations Committee

The Government Relations Committee shall:

• Provide guidance and support to the MANA Board and members on matters pertaining to legislative and regulatory activity affecting the practice of nurse anesthesia
• Assist in developing mutual respect and assistance between appropriate groups or agencies and MANA

Health & Wellness Committee

The Wellness Committee shall:

• Promote wellness activities and education for members
• Promote fellowship among SRNAs and CRNAs, while introducing activities that inspire a healthy lifestyle

Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development Committee shall:

• Support current standards of nurse anesthesia by promoting continuing education for MANA members and assisting them in meeting the requirements for recertification
• Plan the annual fall educational conference, which incorporates the annual business meeting

Political Action Committee

Friends of Minnesota Nurse Anesthetists (FOMNA) PAC

The FOMNA PAC shall:

• Support the practice and professional opinions of MANA CRNAs
• Support issues in MN related to the Nurse Anesthesia profession, practice, education, and reimbursement
• Strategically donate to campaigns of candidates who have proven to be friendly to the issues and concerns of MN CRNAs

AANA Foundation

AANA Foundation State Advocates are CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists who are AANA members that represent, support, and promote the efforts and activities of the AANA Foundation at the state level both philosophically and financially.

AANA Foundation Resident Advocates serve as a liaison between the Foundation and each resident's respective nurse anesthesia program.  Resident Advocates share information about the Foundation with their resident colleagues including general information, dates and deadlines for Foundation events, scholarships, and awards.
